[Bug 64462] New: [Feature Request] Support for HTTP/3

Bugzilla from bugzilla@apache.org
https://bz.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=64462

            Bug ID: 64462
Summary: [Feature Request] Support for HTTP/3
           Product: Apache httpd-2
           Version: 2.4.43
          Hardware: PC
                OS: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P2
         Component: All
          Assignee: [hidden email]
          Reporter: [hidden email]
  Target Milestone: ---

When will Apache2 support the new HTTP/3 version of the protocol?

Major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, etc.) now have support for HTTP/3 (stable
versions), so it's not a bad idea to start working on a HTTP/3 module.

[Bug 64462] [Feature Request] Support for HTTP/3

Bugzilla from bugzilla@apache.org

--- Comment #1 from Luca Toscano <[hidden email]> ---
There was a very interesting discussion on the dev@ mailing list months ago
with some technical background about why the work has not yet started:
https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/eb086eafbd9309eb1efedac3bf3dcc410a95d06206c97e7ade01c254%40%3Cdev.httpd.apache.org%3E

We'd love to do it but it will be more than adding a module, and the current
dev resources are limited. Having said that, if somebody has time/willingness
to step up to help it would be really great!
