[Bug 64422] New: ProxyPreserveHost docs don’t discuss SNI

Bugzilla from bugzilla@apache.org
https://bz.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=64422

            Bug ID: 64422
Summary: ProxyPreserveHost docs don’t discuss SNI
           Product: Apache httpd-2
           Version: 2.5-HEAD
          Hardware: PC
                OS: Mac OS X 10.1
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: mod_proxy_http
          Assignee: [hidden email]
          Reporter: [hidden email]
  Target Milestone: ---

https://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/mod/mod_proxy.html#proxypreservehost

^^ Can this description please be updated to say that in SSL proxying the SNI
string is also sent unaltered to the backend?

(At least, that _appears_ to be the current behavior … which I assume is
intended?)

Thank you!

--- Comment #1 from Nick Wong <[hidden email]> ---
Are there any plans to allow a custom host in the SNI to be sent to the backend
without altering the host set in the ProxyPass directive?

Thanks!
